i have broken down and followed the trend of so many before me and here is the result. i am no longer an "ish." I'm a full blown professional rabbi. obviously i will never write about what actually do in a way that would infringe on an individuals privacy, but let's be honest, there are going to be other things. funny, sad, inspirational, maybe even contemplative. i hope that my writing will provide me with an outlet as i find my way in this new city and in this new professional location.

i officiated at my first funeral. fortunately it was relatively uneventful. except for the part when the graveside service was over and the hearse backed up into my rental car. that's right. i couldn't make that up if i tried.
